Spoilt with choices, We sure are !
Well recently when a friend confined in me that she wanted to change or rather upgrade her hand phone and she wanted me to help survey the market for the best mobile phone available. Well she told me budget was not an issue as being a teacher herself she had recently got her bonus.
I am not an expert in this field but i would like to help a friend and so i just ask her what she wanted to use the mobile for.. her main reason for the change of her old mobile phone.
She just wanted to change and keep with times and she did not care which brand or what but the features must be trendy.
After some intensive research and a few long hours and asking around i gave her my decision on Samsung mobile phone. This is because i am too using the mobile phone from Samsung and have so far to encounter any problems from it. Beside the Samsung brand has hit the market with such a force or rather storm that the consumers are left with lots of choices from casual users to heavy users to just chatting or sms. In other words, you have lots to pick on from Samsung rather than Apple. I mean Apple is good and does have a slight advantage over Samsung that its users are loyal to its brand from shuffle to ipad. mac and so on which for one this does not invite virus whatsoever. Nevertheless the price is not the worth the package given.
On the other hand, Samsung is a Asian brand coming into the mobile phones especially the smartphones. I for one never thought would get a Samsung brand mobile phone but I really did and it works fine with me.
So if you want a simple smartphone, I would recommend the Samsung brand which has so far made a name for itself with choices of mobile phones. In Malaysia, we have the Samsung Galaxy S2, S3, Note 1, Note2

melaka 3 nite 4 days 8 dec to 11 dec 2012
Well it was the school holidays and after doing my duty at invigilating finally ending at the 6 dec 2012 i decided to give my wife a treat via a holiday. Well as you know she wakes up with me to prepare breakfast for me when i go to school and so time to give her a well deserved treat and treat myself as well.
Since both of us are going to melaka so it is not economical for me to drive all the way to melaka and then drive back so i took the coach. Nothing like been driven and it was such a comfortable journey since i slept most of the way. Sri maju express at jalan bendahara. price at rm34.00 per person so all in came to rm130.00 for both of us. Well you might think that i am being a frugal but i consider it as streetwise smart. When i reached Melaka Sentral at about 4.00pm i was a bit tired since i started my journey at 10.00am. Well i took a taxi from Melaka Sentral (pakcik Rosli Amin 012-6030440 or at 014-6630778) He was a very nice person who is an ex army person. We chatted on politics and also on the changes in melaka over the years. He does a lot of driving over the border with going to as far as Genting as well. Well highly recommend.
Well he took me to my hotel. Best Western Wana Riverside Hotel which is at no2, Jalan Munshi Abudullah Melaka 75100 tel: 06-2897888.best western wana riverside hotel Well it has a nice view and wonderful buffet breakfast which is worth the money paid for. They also cater for vegetarian which was wonderful for me. As for the location, it is walking distance to the Melaka Gurdwara and as the staff there are so friendly. It is a new hotel and it is has a great promotion even for the government servant. Well highly recommend.
If you want to go for the Barsi of Sant Baba Sohan Singh ji in Melaka well you could stay at This hotel or a nearer hotel named Palace Hotel but it is just meant to sleep and that is all. I mean it is just to shower and sleep and then go back and do sewa at the gurdwara. Cheap and near the gurdwara.
Well it is walking distance from the Jonker Street my main aim of going to melaka. Well you can google about it and read about it but going there is awesome. From the dodol melaka to the fried cockles and the spicy cuttlefish to the bbq chips and the things you can get there is nice and cheap. You could get the souvenir from there as the price does not differ much at the other places. Well i walked and ate at the Geographer Cafe. Well the live music band is awesome plus they cater for vegetarians. Well i loved the cashew nut chicken with the fresh orange and the vegetarian pasta is really nice. Price is reasonable and location is good.
After walking in Jonker Walk (Jalan Hang Jebat) it is a nice walk. More like pasar malam but lots of variety of food and things to buy.
When in melaka make sure that you do not miss the chance to enjoy the Melaka River Cruise. Well it is a nice slow cruise along the river and you will be told about the changes in melaka by the tour guide. Price is rm9.00 for 1 hour journey on lazy melaka river is alright. My wife enjoyed it very much. I got down at the source of melaka river near the kompleks muzium maritime which i really enjoyed. It reminded me of Vasa museum in Sweden. Well i really like it here. It showed the levels of the ship and the things and canons used during the Portugis, Dutch and also the English era.
The Stadhuys which entrance is rm10.00 for adults was nice and worth the price paid. I also manage to go up the hill and down to the famous Port de Santiago, the St. Paul Church, The St. Francis Xavier's Church.
After watching all these and by now it was in the afternoon, time to hit the mall. Well the Dataran Pahlawan Melaka Megamall. Very big and had most of the normal tenants.I liked the Heritage Gallery which is a place which should not be missed.Well had lunch and watched Rise of the Guardian at GSC.
Then took a meter cab back to the hotel. Uncle Radha 014-2681342. Fair from pahlawan to hotel..rm11.00
Well the next day went to Gurdwara Sahib Melaka. That was the first thing as wife told me it was something dad said MUST GO when at melaka. Well it was my wedding anniversary too so thank God for all the things which he has blessed me with and also with a wonderful wife. :)
After that hit Little India. It was a nice walk which is short. Walking in the town made me feel that melaka is not that big but rather small. Well ended up at mahkota parade which has parkson and Giant as tenant. Well after that guess where we ended. Well went back to GSC at pahlawan and watched Life of Pi 3D which was awesome. After the movie took the taxi back again to the hotel.
Well i wanted to go to Coral Wonderland at F4 level 4 Dataran Pahlawan Melaka Megamall but wife was not interested. Well maybe next time.

Schools OUT
Yippie,, yes school is out and many of the teachers have packed their bags and confirmed their flights and heading to a wonderful vacation. Something that they have been looking forward since beginning of the year.
Well many of my friends and relatives have questioned me " where am I heading ? Have you got your tickets ready ?
Well I still have not made any plans and might take a local holidays with my wife. I like to see new places but my wife is very homely person who does not like going out of the house. Well introvert and extrovert will of course pull at each other. But I am changing my wife's mindset and surely and slowly. So while I wait for her to complete change and learn to explore just like me, i accumulate enough for the two of us to travel. I have certain places which i would like to visit like Australia, Europe and also Turkey. Well let us plan and hope the plan becomes a reality. That is long term plans so what about short term plans..
Well maybe visit kl which would be nice but i really do not like going to kl because of the traffic jam and the parking hassle. I prefer to go to a place on time rather than going to a place two hours early just to avoid the traffic and being in the car for so long..really hate that.
Some of my friends are leaving for Hong Kong, Macau, Japan, well have fun and learn from the experience. Well it is nice to go to places where you have never been before and to learn from the place. The culture the food and the atmosphere but sadly many people who travel rarely document their visit on blogs beside pictures. Yeah you can recall back the memories with pictures better but to write it down as tips for others is very useful too. (My personal believe )
Well have a good holiday and remember that each place you visit has a story on its own. embrace it and learn from it ..

SEX sells
Well it really has been something since i blogged in here but I have really been busy and with lots of things happening in life.
Well sex is a taboo word in the olden days when i was a young boy but now it is such a common word that even primary school children know about it. Children know about gay and les which is sort of lesbian. Well now I am not saying that it is wrong to know these words but smirking about it is fine to a certain extent.
Well children need to be exposed to all this words and things to a certain extent. I do think that we need to have some sort of changes to infuse things to the children.
Where did u actually learn about the fact of life ? From your friends.. from the media or from the internet. If you knew what is good and bad then you will be able to the effect it has on your life? How many times have you surf the net and came across these site and then quickly to turn it off. Well it is sound advice that you need to turn is off otherwise people will think you are a pervert.
At times you just need to be bold and be ready to spill the beans. It is better that parents take the trouble to teach or advice children regarding this than they learn the wrong things from the wrong source . Well it is easy to say that but very difficult since children at a certain age tend to listen to their friend more that their parents.
Well just learn to trust your kids and until the next blog .. be safe always

Well you have Sunway Theme park in malaysia but i would like you to visit this theme park if you happen to be in Vietnam HCM..
I got the chance to visit this place and it was a really nice enchanting experience.. To Travel to vietnam is not that expensive since it has AA cheap fares to the place.
Then this place is really nice since you can take a cab and also it is within the city limit.
I suppose that you should be there to really experience it really nice and i of course had a nice time.. Will sure go there one more time if given a chance to do so!

Parents nowdays
Dear parents,
I have observed that many of you want to be parents but are not really ready for the responsibility that comes with it. If you are married and you are suppose to conceive which you do. But to raise another human is not the same as raising an animal. Well if with animals you do not have the same feelings as you have for the human or child or the person who is carrying your name. I had to write this because parents now are changing for the worst. If you are not prepared to take care of your children then i am sure you can do the necessary steps to prevent them from coming to this world !
To the mother of my pupil S..
Well i know that you work hard in the factory and it is not easy for you. Money is tight and your other children who are able to work are helping out in what manner they can but please do not allow my pupil S the live his childhood. What are you trying to prove by asking him to do the whole family laundry in the middle of the nite thus making him sleepy during my lesson the next day ? Why such a treatment to your own flesh and blood ? He is of course your own son and you are this very mother who carried him for nine months yet you deprive him of his precious sleep just because he is not working. He is too small work and that is his fault so you use him as your personal maid ! Well i am very sad and feel pity for not him but for you because all this will somehow leave a deep scar in him towards you his mother and the thing we call family. Does a family mean that the children who are too small to work are exposed to these sort of abuse ? I mean this is worst then child abuse. Well he is so damn thin and not even sure if he is getting enough of meals as a growing child. Well I am just an outsider but i can see the damage has already been made by your actions. Even if you think that it is part of teaching responsibility and doing house chores but to wake him up in the middle of the night and ask the poor kid to wash the family laundry while you and the other children enjoy your sleep is plain abuse !
Well I hope that you will learn that this is not the manner or way to teach a child about responsibility and also about helping around the house and making the child useful in the house. There are i am sure many other manner and avenues in which this lesson can be taught.Hope God is watching this abuse and you will see the light soon !
To the father of my pupil K,
You son is a very adorable son and naughty at times but then he is just a child and hyperactive. Each day he comes to school at 7am in the morning and he goes back when you finish your work at 5pm. I mean what sort of father will allow his son to be in school after school. I feel really pity for him and have secretly being giving him part of my breakfast to him as his lunch. When all the kids are going home and have left home, there he sits in the heat of the afternoon sweating and hungry waiting for you until 5pm. What sort of father will do such a thing to their own son ? He is too young and innocent to comprehend all that is happening to him right now and will one day understand but please change for him because others who are watching this are very sad and feel for the child. He does not need all this waiting and hungry until 5pm. Being a father you should make arrangement to get him picked up after school so that he is back home and resting. Well you should know better since he is your son. God i hope you are watching this and will do something about it.
To the mother who only want to be a weekend mother,
I have heard of mother wanting to get a child and doing all sort of prayers just to conceive and then forget all that once the children are in the family. You are not being a nice mother if you are not waking up in the morning and prepare breakfast for your child. How much of love will the child have for you if the child knows that it was their aunt that wakes up each morning to prepare them for school ? And when they are big enough and they know their rights and are able to stand on their own feet then begin to neglect you then you complain that they are being grateful but is that really any truth to that ?
Well I think this entry a on a heavy and harden truth on parenting. A rich brat once told me this.." I did not choose to come to this world.. my father and mother brought me here so it is their responsibility to take care of my every need " Is he correct or being ungrateful ? I leave it to you to ponder and wonder..

He does not need all this waiting and hungry until 5pm. Being a father you should make arrangement to get him picked up after school so that he is back home and resting. Well you should know better since he is your son. God i hope you are watching this and will do something about it.
To the mother who only want to be a weekend mother,
I have heard of mother wanting to get a child and doing all sort of prayers just to conceive and then forget all that once the children are in the family. You are not being a nice mother if you are not waking up in the morning and prepare breakfast for your child. How much of love will the child have for you if the child knows that it was their aunt that wakes up each morning to prepare them for school ? And when they are big enough and they know their rights and are able to stand on their own feet then begin to neglect you then you complain that they are being grateful but is that really any truth to that ?
Well I think this entry a on a heavy and harden truth on parenting. A rich brat once told me this.." I did not choose to come to this world.. my father and mother brought me here so it is their responsibility to take care of my every need " Is he correct or being ungrateful ? I leave it to you to ponder and wonder..

Green Tea !
Well i might not be a doctor but a good loving friend share with me this which I think it is essential that i share it too in this blog . Drinking Green tea!
As an educator in the a school, teachers like me have to use their vocal cords a lot in order to make sure that the lesson is delivered thus at the end of the day we get tired. Well not any more.. I sound like a salesperson trying to sell green tea products but i am not SELLING anything but just SHARING ! well it is your health and your body at the end of the day and i am just sharing this for the benefit of those who interested and those who are keen to living and getting old gracefully.
Well sometimes it is nice to know that there are people out in these world that are not stingy with their knowledge and information and love to share things for the the benefit of human beings. God bless these kind souls !
So i have narrow down the links which i think are useful and informative for you to know more about green tea and its benefits. My friend will boil the green tea and keep it over nite and the next morning drink it at school as a substitute for water after every lesson. At the end of the day still very energetic and able to put the young teachers to shame ! Well I have followed the step of taking green tea in the morning which i will soak in water over nite and so far it has been good for my body and i feel great thus am sharing this in this blog !

Well this is the famous Dataran Lang at Pulau Langkawi. Yeah i went to langkawi the last school holidays. Took the coach or bus from Ipoh to Kuala Perlis since i did not fancy driving all the way.. Yeah MARA LINER is a good bus but can be improved. Well upon reaching the jetty got the tickets which are sold one way only. Make sure you keep the tickets if you are buying some hard liquor. This is because it will be inspected when you come back.
The journey to the island is nice and not so choppy. Upon reaching the jetty on the other side go to the taxi outlet. Well if you want a good cab driver call Mrs Suganthi or Sheila at 017-5167271. She is good and reliable and make sure you know your rate beforehand.Well i booked at Langkawi Seaview

Well if you want to go there make sure u visit these places for sure :
Underwater World.. yeah located at Pantai Cenang it is a 30 minit drive from the Kuah Town but it was worth the drive. Love the various fishes found there.
Island Hopping is something that one should also not miss when visiting Pulau Langkawi. It is really amazing experience and worth it.
If you like indian food well the best place to eat would be Hotel Malaysia Restaurant it is opposite Langkawi Parade . Best indian food and really nice. Highly recommended by me :)
If you into massage then u need to head on to Sky Eagle Massage which I took since i was tired from walking and also need to pamper myself as well. Well the hp number is 012-5264174 or 04-9665955. Well it is worth the money paid and next to the best thing that is having the real thing in Thailand.
Well my stay was worth it since i visited the pasar malam oppostite Bayview Hotel. My ride was a mazda 323 which i had a good money for it and did not have any problems with it.
My advice for those who are going there,, book your hotel in advance.. get a gps when in langkawi so that u do not need a guide and u can travel at your own pace and pleasure as well.
My suggestion is that the government upgrade the Kuala Perlis jetty fast as it is one of the many jetties used to enter into beautiful Langkawi.

The List
Gopal had never believed in chances. He was always brought up to think that only by working hard was he able to reach success. Gopal did not get lucky at times with some small consolation from the welfare tickets that he bought.
Gopal worked as an educator and love doing what was assigned to. Well although the pay was not as much as his friends at the private sector, yet he was satisfies and had a sense of fulfillment.
Gopal worked in a small school and it was important to him to maintain a good relationship with everyone at school.
"Why don't you play some shares ?" Zainal told him. "You could make some money from it? " This thought had been with Gopal the whole day and he told himself that he had nothing to lose. He took Zainal's advice . Gopal went to the broker's firm near his school. He got a everything sorted out and opened an account. Well things looked very nice for him from the distance.
Gopal read and subscribed to the major finance newspaper. He took his time to analysis the company with learning from its board of directors as well as learn more of the share performance before parting ways with his hard earn money into the shares. Well he studied well for a couple of weeks before he came up with a list. This list was a very good list because he has done his homework well and knew that is was worth something if one would get the major companies. Well in the local stock exchange, there are about 200 over counters and some are just there waiting to fall while other are changing over the time. Well Gopal knew that he had something on that list of his.
The list consisted of several major blue chip companies and it was made with such effort and trouble and consume lots of time.
Gopal made the mistake which was considered a major if you are a player. He trusted someone. He contacted with his broker and told him the list. He gave him the list!.
Zainal was a man of many dreams. He wanted to work his way up to be a successful and rich. He did not really have a bright head but was considered as an "ass-kisser" among his workmates. When Zainal got the list, it was like he had struck the jackpot. He knew what he needed to do. It was like a blessing in disguise. Zainal was known to be a gossiper in the office. If you wanted to spread a rumour, Zainal was the man for the job. Well all Zainal had to do was make a few calls to his good loyal clients and the prices of the shares on the "list" would start to change dramatically.
Well that is what is considered at inside trading which is damaging our local share market with lots of investors taking there money and going to other countries and investing there. Well staying in Malaysia but you have all your investment in Hong Kong and Singapore is a worrying trend.
I am not an expert in economics and not a player but i just like to learn and ponder of things.

Newspaper
Total rubbish that is what my father has been shouting for the past few weeks regarding the new in the daily papers.. Well for a person who has been a avid follower of the Star paper for the past 40 years or so, he has a right to say that. The news in the news now is so depressing and negative that it has some effect on us as well. Well he has a point to a certain extent since the news has been on the declining side for the past year year. Now it is not only has stale news but also lots and i mean lots of advertisement.
I would like to share my point of view regarding new. For me a newspaper is meant to deliver the latest news and the latest development on certain stories. Well that is what I think, news should be news not advertisement.
If you really want to add advertisement then have a separate for that and specially for that. Why should news and advertisement should be placed together. Well the fact that advertisement is a multimillion industry which contribute to the sales of the news with its generous sale page.
Well I would like to suggest that we have :
1) More Inspiration Section
2) News without advertisement
3) More contest
4) More letter from the editor so that more people can share their experiences.
5) Encourage more education related activities to cultivate more writing among the younger generations.
Well just my view and thoughts ..
