 Rain

To some it is a nuisance but to some it is a big relief.

No matter what the matter and situation, we must accept it with open arms and embrace it.

Water from the rain brings cheer to the famers but also too much can cause damage it the farmer's crop.

In life , moderation is very important and vital. Too much of anything is not good for out health and mind as well as being.

Today I am doing some school work as school has just started and there are a lot of work to be done but am enjoying it with the beautiful weather and lovely songs while I work and complete my work.

First post of 2021

My first post for the year 2021. So many things have to write about yet no time .Back to school with Covid19 cases are getting more and more less with many of us following the sop which has been adhere by the government.

Lost my cousin brother at UK due to a failed heart. He was such a gem of a person and we had a wonderful childhood together. He left behind two twin sons and a wife. My condolences to them. Life must go on and it will go on without him but just during family gathering he will be missed just like my Caca Harjinder.

As you know all know that my uncle passed away last may, one of the best Caca's I had. He really was such a nice catchy smile that he always wore where ever he went. I really did not know how he had established himself a name in Sungai Petani that when he passed away, many people felt his lost. He help people without expecting anything in return and never once posted all this charity work on social media. This is what I call a really noble deed that no matter that, it can never be measured. He was also advising me to upgrade myself and taught me to work hard. One of the many virtues which he always said that I should pass on to my pupils..work hard and do not expect anything in return even if you help someone.

Online learning was tough but manage to get through it. Of course on the way, my trader friends made fun of me and told me to buy #Optimax shares because according to them, the teachers in Malaysia and with the manner they are working, the will be eye problems and somehow in the future it will be good for to get vouchers from the company.

Exercise is cycling and with my new bicycle, it is a good nice cycle around the block. I manage to report about a serious pothole in my area and action was taken after a reminder to the councillor so somehow my faith towards the system was some how resorted a bit.

Life is going one with lots of things, sometimes up and sometimes down but the cycle must go on !

share MARKET

Well it has been some time since I last posted something here. Been very busy with Baby J who has grown up to be a good and well behaved boy.

Well since the new government has taken over our country in the last election, so many things have change. We the citizens have to help pay the debt of the previous government. Well many have contributed generously towards that. Some people might think that it is not fair but other just want to help for the betterment for the future.
Some stocks which use to be good in the market have fallen so much that many have got their pockets burnt. That is why my dad always told me not to borrow money when investing in the stock money. Use it as a tool or lottery number, got money invest and if not just look and eat rice.
ha ha ha ... just saw the in IG last nite.. well once counter that is good is GentingMalaysia which is only RM3.00 which is consider good but many people are staying away from this counter because of the JINX CRUISER THAT they have purchased and also their bad investment in the US. Well I am not going to say more about it. I also saw a few people who really made money with the special AA payment of special dividend of 90cent credited into the account. A friend of mine got 11k which is so so amazing.

Some of the counters which I think have potential in the future are :
1) AXIS
2) CBIP
3)CYPARK
4)HOMERIZ
5)IGB REIT
6) SUNWAY
7) SUNWAY REIT
8) SCICOM

HIGH END

1) TENAGA
2) NESTLE
3) PUBLIC BANK
4) SCIENTEX
5) MAYBANK
6) AEONCR
7) HLFG

Well this are just a few counters which are consider good in my humble view and I wish I had some of them but I have none of them maybe next year.

Money lesson

Come 21.6.2015 it is going to be my first Father's day Celebration for me. I know it is bit too fast for that as my son is still so small and does not really comprehend the real meaning of the celebration.

Well Jaskaran, papa is also learning each and everyday about how to be a good papa and so is your mom. We do not have a manual or "How to books to guide us on being a good parent. What I am learning is thru trial and error. But promised that I will try to be a good father to you and try my best to provide for you the best things in life.

What I need to get for you is not money but the ability to learn to make money. Making money is easy but to learn the value of money is hard part. You should know that money can but things but not family and love. Therefore I will try to make understand about money from the young on things that are easy for you to understand. You need to know about how to safe money just like my dad taught me.

Let me share with you this lesson about money management which your grandpa taught me. You see when I was young and going to school, I use to get 50cent as pocket money and being the adsent minded I would forget to put the money in my pocket thus having no money during recess. Well your grandpa then gave me rm15.00 per month as pocket money. This would teach me on how to manage the pocket money well. I use to take food from home and save the money and by the end of the year would have saved a lot of money and eventually purchase something nice for myself as a reward. Those were the great days.

So that is one of the same manner in which I tended to teach you as well.Jaskaran, you should also learn to be street smart and not only smart in studies.

Tuesday, June 9, 2015

On 1.5.2015, God blessed me and my wife with a wonderful son which we named Jaskaran Singh Maan. He is such a blessing to the whole family and of course a joy to the rest of the world.
Well it has not been easy and to get  things sorted out for him.
There is a traditional in the Sikh religion that, no baby clothes should be bought beforehand and this is a custom strictly followed by the Hindus as well. So imagine me not having bought anything and nurses and even the doctors advice me to do so. Well I was determined to follow the custom to the end which I did.

It all started with my wife got her  contracting and I got  her bags and  my mom following  us to our normal gyne. To my horror, my gyne was on holiday in India and so I was advised to go to the General hospital. Well so I went to the hospital and got her admitted. She was taken in and was examined by the doctor on call. Later, she was  placed to the wards as she was having pre contradicting pain and was still long way to go.
So the next day, I waited for my sister to come down and we were shopping for the baby items when I got a call from the hospital informing me that my  wife was was being taken to the delivery suite. Well I rushed to the hospital. and the wait began.

At about 9.44pm Jaskaran Singh Maan was born at the hospital by 4 doctors who were in the suite with me . I too was there for the whole baby delivering process. It was a really tiring process for my wife but I am so proud of her because she could bear the pain without the famous Epidorel jab which is used to reduce the labor pains.

Well today is the 9 of june and it is coming to the end of the confinement period. During the confinement period, no pictures should be send to anyone via Whatsapps. Well come 14 june, Jaskaran will be having his janam prayer and also thanks giving prayers.

Well am going to start a new blog entitled My son soon..

Finding new money

This is an article which I found interesting in the star paper by Joyce Chuah CEO of Success Concepts Life Planners . Well the gist of the article is as follows :

1) Drink water. Stop ordering designer coffee. H20 or sky juicy is one of the best drinks which is FREE and plenty so why waste money on buy anything other than that. Train your kids to bring water container from the house. Do not leave water whenever you leave the house !

2) Batch your errands. Always have a shopping list. I would like to add that you should visualize your trip to do your errands because in that manner you will know the best and shortest route to take thus helping in reduce fuel !

3) Stay home more. Spend time with your family. This is so true. Calling home is not the same as being there with the person !

4) Do it yourself. Learn to be a handy man or woman. This is very true because when times are bad, one need to equip oneself at being able to handle multiskilling.

5) Travel on budget. Budget travels can be fun. Yeah from AirAsia to Malindo air and Tiger Air and lots more in which you have a choice. The destination is the same but the manner you arrive may vary.

6) Use less cell phone. Optimise on free messaging services. Well this is the trend. With lots of application one is a fool not to use them to make such calls

7) Eat out less except weekends. This I have personally been doing for a couple of years now and loving it !

8) Bag lunch to work. It is healthier and more cheaper.. with drinks and food item getting more and more expensive by the day, I personally suggest this. I do get a craving for drinks like Milo so i get them in bulk and make them at home !

9) Find Frugal exercise like walking..I am into gym and my payment is only rm2.00 per day in a month so i am not so concern about that.

10. Stop clubbing which I  never liked and did as i see it a waste of money and time!

Well some tips to save money and be more frugal in 2014

Benefits of Tulsi leaves or Holy basil ..

Well once again I am very sorry for neglecting my blog and have not been keeping it updated. I have really been busy with courses and attending courses and also doing my routine marking of the exam papers maybe it be the monthly as well as the term paper. I know that is a very lame excuse on my part but then I have put on some weight and neglected my fitness as well.
Need to go back to my routine and need to do it fast.

I would like to share with my friends some interesting information which I think could be useful, cheap and easy available. I have come to a cross road to certain things and I am afraid that I have chosen alternative medicine over drugs and dosages when it comes to curing simple health elements. I found that even doctor who are subscribing simple drugs do not take drugs to cure their sickness but prefer to use everyday things found in the kitchen and in our garden to cure them.

Well one such leave or call it what ever you want is the tulsi leave. I know many have seen it grown and the Hindus do worship this leave in their alter within their  house compound. I am no expert in the benefits of tulsi leave having just started taking it raw and also by drinking the left over night water dipped with those leaves.

Having said that i have compiled some website from the net which I found to be simple yet informative to understand and thus I am sharing them..

Well I am sure there are other sites which you have come across but I think you will be convince that tulsi is indeed a very cheap source of vitamin pill which is available and can be grown in your backyard.

Hope it will be beneficial to you and your family and let us go back to nature. Let nature take care of us !

shooting or shooter

Not a day goes by when I am not bombared with news of shooting with an alarming rate in Malaysia over a couple of months back and each day there is such news reported daily. Fear is high in the hearts of the people and this is effecting the economy as well as the image of Malaysia. I have been told that Malaysia is the safest place in Asian but when was that survey taken and now in reality it has another story to be told.

Well I am not sure of the recent shooting are related to drugs or gang or expanding the turf of their gang but no matter the reason the core question is the ability in getting firearms so easy and so cheap to execute someone. I read that with a merely RM5k one can hire a hired killer to "finish' of a person. Is our life that damn cheap ? I am told that the guns are being brought in from the north and so far the police are still investigating about the shooting. Why must the police not enforce more strict rules and enforce the law in a more diligently so that people who are bring in the gun or even having a gun is sentence harshly. Why wait until someone gets shot at before acting ? I am sure the police have fantastic intelligence in order to know the culprits behind all this shooting ?

The shooting is causing the image of malaysia to suffer really badly. After the screen of Lone Ranger, people have started to use the gun as a weapon to kill the person they have a tiff with or misunderstanding. Have we gone back to the Wild Wild West where a man can roam around the country with a gun ? I pray and hope that this does not happen not for me but for the sake of the future generation.

Well I hope the shooting with stop and for good.
As a citizen what is my role ? What can i do ? How can I help the police to curb the crimes in my area ? Has the police educated the young on their roles to curb crime ?

Well I know you will do the right thing after reading this blog !

Until next time stay safe and be safe and even play safe :P

AJH 9309

Well I had been very patient when i wanted to purchase a car. I saw Jeff my salesman 2000 and spoke to him and survey the car and the price and all the stuff that comes with it. Well then the debate between my dad and me started and i wanted to buy the car but my dad would put on his points which would win the argument. Well he is a very practical man which I somehow have inherited as well.

Well this year i was waiting for the election with the promise of the lower price of the cars. Well as expected the price of the cars did not fall down. Well that was when i put my foot down and decide to change the car and my dad gave in. Well buying a car is not an easy work and lots to do but i am happy that i have finally got my car. my first car in my life at the age of 40 . yeah before this i was using my uncle Indy's car which was a really nice car but it had served its two masters well. 12 years.

So change and new. Driving the new car is amazing and nice and lots of excitement. It only thing i am scared is that parking at malls and must be careful with the manner in which I park the car and the place. Yeah it is very important to know where to park the car at the mall. You should not park at secluded places as this would be easy target for people to break in.. also make sure that it is well lighted area and expect the place to be like what when you return after a few hours in the mall. Sometimes you need to expect the rain or dust to form if you park at places which are busy...

Adjustment to the car and getting to know the car. I am now getting use and the "feel" of the car and also the car is getting to know me. My new relationship is getting new and I know there will be lots of up and downs and i know we will be together through it no matter what !

Well thank you God for giving me the ability to purchase a car and thank you to my family for the encouragement ..

Well it is time to ride and pimp my ride !

CARs CArs CArs

Car ? what car ? Which car ? This year ? Next year ? When is the most suitable time to purchase a car in Malaysia ? What about the NAP? What about it ? Are the car prices going to come down in the near future ? What will happen to Proton and Perdua if that happens ?
Everyday in the daily paper there are sure to have ad on car and 5 year warranty and so on. The VW are giving a good deal and the you flip the paper and Toyota and Honda are giving terrible bad discounts on this and that. The next page our home grown Proton are giving much freebies and more to come.

What is happening ? My dad and me are always arguing about cars and he said that the price is going to come down by rm10k to rm20k which is a lot for a wage earner like me. The business man will have not problem with the price of any car but let us face it the price reduction should be meant for the man on the street and not those who can afford it .

Cars if they people can afford it that they should be given a choice to buy what they are comfortable with. I mean the government has its right to come up with Proton and with it had brought lots of jobs for the local and also got money..but for 30 years we gave the car to come up and compete with the international players. Come one Proton pull up your socks !

Well the rakyat want to have good car and good transportation for the future of malaysia. They want cheap cars and less tax on certain cars. Hybrid cars and electric cars should be given more chance to come in the country.

Well that is about it ! Hope someone reading this might like while others might things it is rubbish but that does not matter much to me because this is for me!

Until next time.. decide on a good Car

tandoor grill 12.1.2013

Thank God for letting me to take my parents and wife to dinner at Tandoor Grill to celebrate my birthday. Well it is the latest joint to be opened in Ipoh and it is very nice. Run by a Pubjabi family and the word is that they bought the land, erected the building and then started the restaurant. The reviews so far is good and the place is buzzing with customers and lots of people.

We reached the joint at about 6.30pm since we are the early birds and like the Chinese love to have early in the evening. Well as we turn into the entrance we were directed to a parking place by one of the owner and wow I was impressed with the staff being around he still hands on with the customers.

Then we waiting to be seated and I really liked the nine elephants at the entrance. The first impressive was like it look very pricey and can i afford it ? Well the place does take you to a different place and time with the background hindi tunes and the instrumental music..

There certain rooms which one could book in order to have your own private party and also have a close party.

Being a joint run by a punjabi family while and after having a good meal, my mom was walking around meeting her friend and hugging as they met. The manner punjabis greet each other are very warm and with a hug for those who are close to the heart.

Well my wife is a vegetarian and my dad and mom do not fancy prawns and mutton so it was a limited choice for us being the signature dish of tandoori chicken and the naan. I really like the staff there because he did not recommend the high price items but knew and recommend what is nice and popular. Well of course i had read the review and only took the ones which were recommend and which I liked and enjoyed. I did treat myself with the Kashmiri Tea and it is really nice. Well 4 pax and the total bill came to only rm117.00 only which is about rm30.00 perhead. I think that is really dirt cheap.

That was my birthday celebration and wife and mom are watching the serial on Astro now and dad is surfing the net while i compose this entry.

It has been sometime since we had a good establishment like this in Ipoh. Joint like Dehli Junction which was opposite ipoh padang  did  not survive the test of time. This place is sure giving  Pakeeza a run for its money as well as Old Anderson Club.

Well all the best to this place and remember to make God your business partner !

Gone

Gone as you have,
so sudden and so swiftly,
yet I sense your every move,
Day in and day out.

Gone were those times,
When empty pockets and hungry dreams,
Was all that we had,
To dream big and start with a humble beginning.

To matter where life takes you,
To matter how hard is the struggle,
You need to know that one day,
God will reward you if you are sincere and pure !

Someday you might gain what you have lost,
Someday you might not gain what you have spend,
Someday you might lose everything,
Never for once lose Hope!

Spoilt with choices, We sure are !

Well recently when a friend confined in me that she wanted to change or rather upgrade her hand phone and she wanted me to help survey the market for the best mobile phone available. Well she told me budget was not an issue as being a teacher herself she had recently got her bonus.

I am not an expert in this field but i would like to help a friend and so i just ask her what she wanted to use the mobile for.. her main reason for the change of her old mobile phone.
She just wanted to change and keep with times and she did not care which brand or what but the features must be trendy.

After some intensive research and a few long hours and asking around i gave her my decision on Samsung mobile phone. This is because i am too using the mobile phone from Samsung and have so far to encounter any problems from it. Beside the Samsung brand has hit the market with such a force or rather storm that the consumers are left with lots of choices from casual users to heavy users to just chatting or sms. In other words, you have lots to pick on from Samsung rather than Apple. I mean Apple is good and does have a slight advantage over Samsung  that its users are loyal to its brand from shuffle to ipad. mac and so on which for one this does not invite virus whatsoever. Nevertheless the price is not the worth the package given.
On the other hand, Samsung is a Asian brand coming into the mobile phones especially the smartphones. I for one never thought would get a Samsung brand mobile phone but I really did and it works fine with me.

So if you want a simple smartphone, I would recommend the Samsung brand which has so far made a name for itself with choices of mobile phones. In Malaysia, we have the Samsung Galaxy S2, S3, Note 1, Note2

Well the verdict is in and looks like i am going to help get my friend the samsung Note 2 read yourself on Samsung

melaka 3 nite 4 days 8 dec to 11 dec 2012

Well it was the school holidays and after doing my duty at invigilating finally ending at the 6 dec 2012 i decided to give my wife a treat via a holiday. Well as you know she  wakes up with me to prepare breakfast for me when i go to school and so time to give her a well deserved treat and treat myself as well.

Since both of us are going to melaka so it is not economical for me to drive all the way to melaka and then drive back so i took the coach. Nothing like been driven and it was such a comfortable journey since i slept most of the way. Sri maju express at jalan bendahara. price at rm34.00 per person so all in came to rm130.00 for both of us. Well you might think that i am being a frugal but i consider it as streetwise smart. When i reached Melaka Sentral at about 4.00pm i was a bit tired since i started my journey at 10.00am. Well i took a taxi from Melaka Sentral (pakcik Rosli Amin 012-6030440 or at 014-6630778) He was a very nice person who is an ex army person. We chatted on politics and also on the changes in melaka over the years. He does a lot of driving over the border with going to as far as Genting as well. Well highly recommend.

Well he took me to my hotel. Best Western Wana Riverside Hotel which is at no2, Jalan Munshi Abudullah Melaka 75100  tel: 06-2897888.best western wana riverside hotel Well it has a nice view and wonderful buffet breakfast which is worth the money paid for. They also cater for vegetarian which was wonderful for me. As for the location, it is walking distance to the Melaka Gurdwara and as the staff there are so friendly. It is a new hotel and it is has a great promotion even for the government servant. Well highly recommend.

If you want to go for the Barsi of Sant Baba Sohan Singh ji in Melaka well you could stay at This hotel or a nearer hotel named Palace Hotel but it is just meant to sleep and that is all. I mean it is just to shower and sleep and then go back and do sewa at the gurdwara. Cheap and near the gurdwara.

Well it is walking distance from the Jonker Street my main aim of going to melaka. Well you can google about it and read about it but going there is awesome. From the dodol melaka to the fried cockles and the spicy cuttlefish to the bbq chips and the things you can get there is nice and cheap. You could get the souvenir from there as the price does not differ much at the other places. Well i walked and ate at the Geographer Cafe. Well the live music band is awesome plus they cater for vegetarians. Well i loved the cashew nut chicken with the fresh orange and the vegetarian pasta is really nice. Price is reasonable and location is good.

After walking in Jonker Walk (Jalan Hang Jebat) it is a nice walk. More like pasar malam but lots of variety of food and things to buy.

When in melaka make sure that you do not miss the chance to enjoy the Melaka River Cruise. Well it is a nice slow cruise along the river and you will be told about the changes in melaka by the tour guide. Price is rm9.00 for 1 hour journey on lazy melaka river is alright. My wife enjoyed it very much. I got down at the source of melaka river near the kompleks muzium maritime which i really enjoyed. It reminded me of Vasa museum in Sweden. Well i really like it here. It showed the levels of the ship and the things and canons used during the Portugis, Dutch and also the English era.

The Stadhuys which entrance is rm10.00 for adults was nice and worth the price paid. I also manage to go up the hill and down to the famous Port de Santiago, the St. Paul Church, The St. Francis Xavier's Church.

After watching all these and by now it was in the afternoon, time to hit the mall. Well the Dataran Pahlawan Melaka Megamall. Very big and had most of the normal tenants.I liked the Heritage Gallery which is a place which should not be missed.Well had lunch and watched Rise of the Guardian at GSC.

Then took a meter cab back to the hotel. Uncle Radha 014-2681342. Fair from pahlawan to hotel..rm11.00

Well the next day went to Gurdwara Sahib Melaka. That was the first thing as wife told me it was something dad said MUST GO when at melaka. Well it was my wedding anniversary too so thank God for all the things which he has blessed me with and also with a wonderful wife. :)

After that hit Little India. It was a nice walk which is short. Walking in the town made me feel that melaka is not that big but rather small. Well ended up at mahkota parade which has parkson and Giant as tenant. Well after that guess where we ended. Well went back to GSC at pahlawan and watched Life of Pi 3D which was awesome. After the movie took the taxi back again to the hotel.

Well i wanted to go to Coral Wonderland at F4 level 4 Dataran Pahlawan Melaka Megamall but wife was not interested. Well maybe next time.

Hope the infomation given come useful to someone out there and have a nice holiday.

Schools OUT

Yippie,, yes school is out and many of the teachers have packed their bags and confirmed their flights and heading to a wonderful vacation. Something that they have been looking forward since beginning of the year.
Well many of my friends and relatives have questioned me " where am I heading ? Have you got your tickets ready ?
Well I still have not made any plans and might take a local holidays with my wife. I like to see new places but my wife is very homely person who does not like going out of the house. Well introvert and extrovert will of course pull at each other. But I am changing my wife's mindset and surely and slowly. So while I wait for her to complete change and learn to explore just like me, i accumulate enough for the two of us to travel. I have certain places which i would like to visit like Australia, Europe and also Turkey. Well let us plan and hope the plan becomes a reality. That is long term plans so what about short term plans..

Well maybe visit kl which would be nice but i really do not like going to kl because of the traffic jam and the parking hassle. I prefer to go to a place on time rather than going to a place two hours early just to avoid the traffic and being in the car for so long..really hate that.

Some of my friends are leaving for Hong Kong, Macau, Japan, well have fun and learn from the experience. Well it is nice to go to places where you have never been before and to learn from the place. The culture the food and the atmosphere but sadly many people who travel rarely document their visit on blogs beside pictures. Yeah you can recall back the memories with pictures better but to write it down as tips for others is very useful too. (My personal believe )

Well have a good holiday and remember that each place you visit has a story on its own. embrace it and learn from it ..

GRANDPA

Grandpa

Although you left me 6 years ago,
I still remember the day you were no more,
When I got the ring and rush to be by your side,
Just to see you were no more.

Not a day goes by,
When I do not think of you,
Sometimes when  I am in a fix,
I put myself in your shoes and think,
"What would my grandpa do to overcome this problem?"

Your knowledge of human being and how to handle them,
Has slightly rub on me,
Cause i think hear you and remember all those lessons you taught me!
Which I will take to my grave!

Grandpa oh grandpa
You left your home at the age of 17
So young that at the age  and
did not know what to do,
Yet you were determined to make a future for your next generation.

Indeed you paved the way for your children to follow,
Education you did emphasis,
None of your children have been left behind
For today they are someone because of your efforts.

I still remember sitting on your knee and listening to your stories,
I still remember sitting next to you while you drove your Peugeot,
I still remember when you did my JAWI homework for me :)
I still remember when you would advice me when I was down,
I still remember all those times when you cared for me.
I could go on and on and never end ..
I still remember all those times  because I know you were there for me,

Even now when your are not here with me ,
I still feel your presence at times and know that you would be
very proud of your children and grandchildren.
You were such a visionary and intelligent but from a very humble beginning.
Kishan pura kalan, punjab is where you came from,
I manage to go back to find my roots,
Just to learn that you were very fond of there.

I miss you grandpa,
I am glad to have been your grandson.. thank you for all the love that you showered on me.. thank you for all guidance and all the things you have instilled in me.

SEX sells

Well it really has been something since i blogged in here but I have really been busy and with lots of things happening in life.
Well sex is a taboo word in the olden days when i was a young boy but now it is such a common word that even primary school children know about it. Children know about gay and les which is sort of lesbian. Well now I am not saying that it is wrong to know these words but smirking about it is fine to a certain extent.

Well children need to be exposed to all this words and things to a certain extent. I do think that we need to have some sort of changes to infuse things to the children.

Where did u actually learn about the fact of life ? From your friends.. from the media or from the internet. If you knew what is good and bad then you will be able to the effect it has on your life? How many times have you surf the net and came across these site and then quickly to turn it off. Well it is sound advice that you need to turn is off otherwise people will think you are a pervert.

At times you just need to be bold and be ready to spill the beans. It is better that parents take the trouble to teach or advice children regarding this than they  learn the wrong things from the wrong source . Well it is easy to say that but very difficult since children at a certain age tend to listen to their friend more that their parents.

Well just learn to trust your kids and until the next blog .. be safe always
